Tech Lead Fullstack Engineer

Our client is one of the fast-moving FMCG startups building the technology that powers how our products reach customers. We're looking for a hands-on Technical Lead who can drive engineering excellence, own the full-stack architecture, and lead a team that ships great products fast.

• Own the end-to-end technical design and architecture of our full-stack platform, from consumer-facing interfaces to backend services and data layers
• Lead and mentor a team of full-stack engineers, setting the technical direction and maintaining a high standard of code quality
• Work closely with product, business, and operations teams to turn FMCG business needs into scalable, reliable technology solutions
• Drive best practices across the engineering lifecycle, from system design and code review to testing and deployment
• Make key technology decisions around frameworks, tools, and infrastructure that support business growth
• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks, ensuring platform performance and reliability at scale
• Contribute hands-on to development when needed; you're not just a manager, you still love to build

Key Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience with at least 2–3 years in a technical lead or senior engineering role
• Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or similar) and backend technologies (Python or PHP)
• Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern deployment practices
• Comfortable working with relational and non-relational databases in production environments
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and infrastructure automation
• A strong communicator who can translate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Bonus: experience in the Marketplace or FMCG
