Senior HVAC Engineer

Our client is a building services engineering consultancy seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mechanical systems across multidisciplinary projects. This is a full-time role based in Australia, offering the opportunity to take ownership of complex HVAC and ventilation systems from concept through to technical documentation and client handover. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with the ability to mentor junior engineers and coordinate effectively across design teams.

Preferred Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and specifying HVAC, air-conditioning, and ventilation systems for commercial or institutional buildings
• Proven expertise in building services design and engineering consultancy project delivery
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including system selection, sizing, and performance optimisation
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical design reviews, produce comprehensive documentation, and communicate complex systems to clients and stakeholders
• Experience mentoring or leading junior engineers, with a track record of developing technical capability in others

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
• Professional engineering registration or eligibility (CPEng, RPEQ, or equivalent) is highly valued
• Relevant industry certifications in HVAC design, building services, or mechanical systems
