Reward Manager (FMCG)
Our client is looking for a their first reward manager
About the Role
We are partnering exclusively with a leading multinational FMCG company operating at a significant scale across Indonesia. Following a recent acquisition, the organization is consolidating and centralizing its people and rewards function — creating this newly expanded Rewards Manager role to lead compensation, benefits, payroll, and HRIS across the combined entity.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone equally comfortable in the detail and at the boardroom table.
What You Will Need
Our client is looking for their first Reward Manager — someone with strong analytical foundations, deep total rewards expertise, and the operational discipline to run a complex, multi-entity rewards function without relying on third parties.
You should bring:
- 6–10 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits / Total Rewards, ideally within a multinational FMCG or agribusiness environment
- An academic background in Accounting, Mathematics, or a quantitative discipline — you are genuinely comfortable with numbers at a granular level
- Deep expertise in salary structure design, job leveling, and market benchmarking
- Hands-on experience with personal income tax (PPh 21) and expatriate tax management — you handle this in-house, not through a third party
- Experience supporting or leading M&A integration from a rewards and job leveling perspective
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems — experience with BIPO and Workday is highly preferred
- A detail-oriented, execution-driven mindset — you go deep into the numbers, not just the strategy
- Strong communication skills — you are confident in presenting payroll and reward structures to senior leadership and directors
- Lead the centralized rewards function across the parent company and the newly acquired entity — driving integration, standardization, and best practice across both organizations
- Design and maintain a robust salary structure aligned with market data and internal equity, covering a large number of workforce
- Own the annual personnel cost budgeting process — building, presenting, and managing headcount costs across the business
- Oversee end-to-end payroll operations — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across both entities
- Manage expatriate compensation and taxation — handling expat tax obligations directly without reliance on external consultants
- Lead HRIS management — maintaining and optimizing the use of BIPO for payroll and Workday for performance management
- Present reward recommendations and payroll reports directly to the Country HR Manager and relevant directors
- Support M&A integration workstreams — harmonizing job levels, salary bands, and reward policies between the centralized and decentralized entities
