Key Responsibilities
- Conduct compliance risk assessments, monitoring activities, and internal reviews to identify regulatory, operational, and ethical risks, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies across the region.
- Design, implement, and deliver regional ethics and compliance training programs to promote awareness of anti-corruption, antitrust, data privacy, and other compliance requirements while fostering a strong culture of integrity.
- Drive the implementation and continuous enhancement of the organization's global ethics and compliance framework, ensuring effective adoption of policies, procedures, and governance standards across Southeast Asia operations.
- Ensure third-party compliance by overseeing due diligence processes, monitoring activities, and ongoing assessments of suppliers, distributors, agents, and other business partners.
- Lead and manage regional investigations, whistleblowing cases, and internal reviews related to potential misconduct, regulatory breaches, and ethical concerns, while ensuring timely remediation and corrective actions.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with applicable anti-corruption, competition, sanctions, data protection, and other regulatory requirements across the region.
- Partner with regional business leaders, functional teams, and global compliance stakeholders to provide strategic advice, strengthen governance practices, and support business objectives.
- Oversee the regional implementation of key compliance policies, including anti-corruption standards, gifts and entertainment guidelines, conflicts of interest requirements, and other corporate ethics policies.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; an MBA and/or professional certifications in compliance, ethics, audit, or risk management will be an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse multicultural and cross-border teams.
- Extensive knowledge of anti-corruption regulations, competition laws, data protection requirements, and corporate governance frameworks applicable across multiple jurisdictions.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in compliance, ethics, internal audit, legal, or related functions, preferably within the oil and gas, industrial, manufacturing, or other highly regulated sectors.
- Proven experience in conducting investigations, managing whistleblowing programs, and implementing effective compliance monitoring and remediation processes.
- Strong experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise ethics and compliance programs across regional or multinational organizations.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with demonstrated success in building compliance culture, leading cross-functional initiatives, and managing regional stakeholder relationships.
- Strong understanding of compliance risk management, third-party due diligence processes, regulatory frameworks, and corporate ethics practices within complex international environments.
