R&D Manager

Join an established building materials manufacturer in East Java as R&D Manager, where you’ll lead innovation, product development, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time role reporting to senior leadership, offering the opportunity to shape the technical direction of a growing manufacturing operation.

• Lead new product and process development from concept through to market launch and certification
• Drive product and process optimisation initiatives, with direct responsibility for testing, validation, and compliance
• Manage cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external laboratories to deliver measurable manufacturing improvements

Preferred Requirements

• Minimum 8 years' experience in manufacturing R&D, with proven success in product development and manufacturing improvement
• At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership position, with experience directing technical teams
• Strong expertise in innovation, new product development, process improvement, and sustainability practices
• Hands-on knowledge of product testing, laboratory operations, and product certification and compliance processes
• Experience working in multinational corporations and familiarity with building materials sectors such as waterproofing, ceramics, construction chemicals, or polymer manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Track record of competitive analysis and market intelligence in manufacturing environments
