QMS Manager

Our client operates a cigarette manufacturing plant in Central Java and is building a new Quality Assurance and Quality Control department from the ground up. They're seeking an experienced QMS Manager to lead this expansion, establishing robust quality systems and standards across the entire operation. This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to shape quality culture in a growing manufacturing environment, reporting directly to senior leadership.

• Build and lead a new QA/QC department, developing quality management systems from raw material through to finished product
• Manage supplier quality, internal audits, and regulatory compliance across a tobacco manufacturing facility
• Lead a team of quality specialists, lab analysts, and inspectors while driving continuous improvement across production

Preferred Requirements

• 5-7 years of hands-on QA/QC experience in manufacturing, ideally within tobacco, FMCG, or pharmaceutical industries
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial or senior specialist role managing quality functions and teams
• Strong expertise in quality management systems, ISO 9001, GMP, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, and root cause analysis
• Solid understanding of tobacco manufacturing processes, product parameters, and laboratory testing protocols for cigarette emissions and chemistry
• Knowledge of Indonesian tobacco regulations, SNI standards, and compliance requirements from BPOM and relevant government bodies

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related science or engineering discipline; Master's degree preferred
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent quality management accreditation
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, or demonstrated expertise in statistical process control and data-driven quality management
