Product Development Specialist

Our client is a multinational FMCG company with operations in Indonesia and international markets. They are currently looking for a Product Development Specialist to join their Product Development / Co-Manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end product development activities, including formulation, laboratory trials, and production trials.
- Lead and support production trials and scale-up activities, ensuring successful transition from laboratory to manufacturing scale.
- Conduct product trials, evaluate results, and recommend formulation or process adjustments where required.
- Ensure consistency of taste, texture, quality, and product specifications between laboratory samples and production output.
- Work closely with internal teams and co-manufacturing partners to execute product development activities.
- Liaise with international stakeholders, particularly the international team, regarding product requirements, trial results, technical discussions, and development progress.
- Prepare technical documentation and communicate trial findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the development and improvement of food products according to customer and market requirements.
- Coordinate with the Food Technician and other relevant team members to ensure smooth execution of laboratory and production trials.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in Product Development / R&D within the food or FMCG industry.
- Strong hands-on experience in formulation, laboratory trials, and especially production trials / scale-up.
- Experience with crackers, savory products, or similar food categories would be highly relevant.
- Good understanding of food manufacturing processes and product development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
- Good English communication skills, with confidence in communicating with international stakeholders.
- Willing to work fully on-site in Bekasi.
