Paid Media Manager

We are looking for an experienced Paid Media Managed to lead the end to end digital and performance marketing initiatives of our client's brand.

About the Role
Indonesia's leading provider of animal protein with renowned household frozen food brands is seeking an experienced and dynamic Paid Media Manager to sit within their Digital & Media Experience team at the Marketing Center of Excellence.

This is a high-impact, individual contributor role responsible for directing and optimizing all paid media investments (traditional and digital) to drive efficiency, effectiveness, top-tier Return on Investment (RoI), and long-term brand equity across our diverse portfolio. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in both media agency strategy and client-side FMCG brand marketing.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Media Strategy & Planning (Traditional & Digital)
  • Translate overarching business, marketing, and brand strategies into robust, data-driven paid media strategies and annual plans.
  • Direct all paid media investments across a full spectrum of channels: TV, Outdoor (OOH), Print, Paid Social (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok), Programmatic Display, and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
  • Drive continuous efficiency and effectiveness in media spend, expertly balancing the need to maximize reach and frequency with driving deep engagement to meet both short-term sales goals and long-term brand building objectives.
  • Lead the annual media planning exercise and campaign plan development in close collaboration with external media and creative agencies.
  • Ensure all media activities are grounded in brand marketing fundamentals (e.g., Marketing Funnels, 4Ps) and deliver a cohesive consumer journey.
  1. Performance & Accountability
  • Define and track key media performance metrics, focusing on maximizing Media RoI and RoAS.
  • Accountability for improving critical performance metrics including CPA, CPC, CPM, and CPV.
  • Instill a strong sense of discipline and accountability in agency partners and internal stakeholders regarding media execution and results.
  1. Agency & Partnership Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic lead for our external media agencies (currently Wavemaker/WPP and Dentsu, with future consolidation likely).
  • Lead the agency evaluation and pitch process when necessary, ensuring Japfa Foods partners with best-in-class service providers.
  • Coordinate media planning with one primary creative agency and specialist digital/KOL agencies to ensure integrated campaign delivery.
  • Manage strategic relationships with major media partners, including Google, Meta, TikTok, and other critical platforms to unlock advanced capabilities and beta opportunities.
  1. Capability Building & Innovation
  • Elevate the overall digital and media capabilities of the internal team and the broader Marketing CoE through training, knowledge sharing, and structured partnerships.
  • Keep the team on the cutting edge by constantly experimenting with new media tools, techniques, measurement models, and emerging channels.

💡 Qualifications & Experience
Must-Haves
  • Atleast 6-8 years of dedicated experience in media management and strategy.
  • Minimum 3-4 years working within a leading media agency, specifically in media/connections strategy and planning roles.
  • Minimum 3-4 years experience on the client-side with a leading FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) company.
  • Proven expertise in managing and optimizing spend across all core paid media channels (TV/OOH/Print, Paid Social, Programmatic, SEM).
  • Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and verbal).
  • Deep understanding of brand marketing fundamentals and how to translate them into effective media strategies and plans.
Skills & Competencies
  • Exceptional Collaboration & Communication Skills: Ability to influence and coordinate large cross-functional teams and multiple agency partners.
  • Strong Analytical Discipline: Proven ability to analyze complex data to derive actionable insights and demonstrate RoI.
  • Agency Leadership: Experience in leading agency pitches, evaluations, and driving superior performance from external partners is nice to have.
  • Proactive & Innovative: Passionate about new media technologies and a track record of implementing effective media experiments.
  • Capability building: Candidate should have passion for building capability in teams, be able to coach and guide and set up systems and processes as enablers to deeply embedding capabilities.
