MEP Purchasing
Our client is currently seeking a Purchasing Officer (MEP) to support procurement activities for MEP construction projects and industrial equipment.
Our client is a leading engineering solutions provider specialising in Design & Build, MEP construction, and maintenance services across industrial and commercial facilities. They also distribute and provide technical solutions for industrial pumps, valves, and related equipment. The organisation is seeking an experienced MEP Purchasing professional to join their team in a full-time role. This is an opportunity to manage procurement for complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Manage purchasing for MEP systems and components across Design & Build and maintenance projects
- Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimise procurement costs
- Work closely with project teams, engineers, and site managers to meet project timelines and specifications
- Proven purchasing experience in MEP or mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction environments
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, components, and industry standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercial terms
- Experience with procurement systems and inventory management
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple projects
- Qualification in Procurement or a related field
- Experience in construction or engineering procurement, particularly in industrial or commercial sectors
- Familiarity with MEP design standards and building codes relevant to Australia
