Head of Product Development – Derma

Our client is a beauty and personal care company launching an exciting portfolio across makeup, hair care, and dermatology. They're seeking a Head of Product Development for their derma division. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role sits at the heart of product innovation, where you'll lead concept development through to market launch, working closely with formulation specialists and market researchers to bring new skincare and dermatological products to life. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives on ideation, understands the Indonesian market deeply, and can translate trend insights into compelling product strategies.

• Lead end-to-end product development from concept and market research through formulation collaboration and launch
• Drive ideation and trend analysis across skincare, hair care, and dermatology categories with a focus on the Indonesian market
• Partner with formulation teams and cross-functional stakeholders to bring innovative products to market efficiently

Preferred Requirements

• Proven experience in product formulation and development within beauty, skincare, or dermatology sectors
• Strong capability in market research and trend analysis, with demonstrated knowledge of the Indonesian beauty and skincare market
• Demonstrated ability to lead ideation sessions and translate market insights into product concepts
• Experience collaborating with formulation scientists and technical teams to develop viable products
• Direct, pragmatic communication style with the ability to work effectively across cultural contexts

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, formulation, or innovation within the beauty or personal care industry
• Demonstrated track record of successfully launching products in the Asian market, particularly Indonesia
