Head of Litigation and Corporate Legal – F&B

The organization is looking for a senior legal leader who can work closely with management and business teams while strengthening the company's end-to-end legal capabilities.

Our client is a growing Food & Beverage (F&B) company looking for a Head of Litigation & Corporate Legal to lead the end-to-end legal function across litigation, corporate legal, and commercial matters. The role will provide strategic legal support to senior management and business stakeholders across the company’s operations, including commercial agreements, employment matters, regulatory compliance, disputes, fraud, corporate governance, and business expansion. This is a senior leadership position requiring strong legal judgment, commercial awareness, and the ability to provide practical solutions in a fast-paced and highly operational F&B environment.

• Advise senior management and business stakeholders on corporate, commercial, regulatory, litigation, employment, fraud, and governance matters affecting the company’s operations and strategic objectives.
• Develop and strengthen legal governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks to support sound corporate governance and regulatory adherence across the organization.
• Lead and manage the corporate legal and litigation function, including legal strategy, resource planning, team development, external counsel management, and delivery of timely, business-oriented legal support.
• Manage complex legal disputes and litigation matters, including civil and criminal proceedings, fraud investigations, employment disputes, customer complaints, landlord or property disputes, and corporate or commercial matters.
• Monitor Indonesian legal and regulatory developments relevant to the F&B industry, including business licensing, food and beverage regulations, consumer protection, employment, franchising, advertising, data protection, and other regulations affecting business operations.
• Oversee the drafting, review, negotiation, and administration of commercial contracts, vendor and supplier agreements, leases, franchise or partnership arrangements, marketing agreements, employment-related documentation, and other legal instruments.
• Provide legal support for business expansion and strategic initiatives, including new outlet openings, partnerships, investments, corporate restructuring, acquisitions, and other commercial projects.
• Represent the company in dealings with regulators, government authorities, external legal counsel, law enforcement agencies, landlords, business partners, and other stakeholders, while overseeing legal correspondence, regulatory submissions, complaint responses, and official communications.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable university; an advocate license (PERADI) and/or additional professional legal qualifications will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication, drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives, business teams, external counsel, and government authorities.
• Extensive knowledge of Indonesian corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, litigation procedures, employment law, consumer protection, licensing, and regulatory matters relevant to the F&B or consumer-facing industry.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in corporate legal, litigation, commercial legal, regulatory affairs, or related legal functions, preferably with experience in F&B, retail, hospitality, consumer goods, or other highly operational industries.
• Proven experience leading legal teams and managing complex litigation, fraud investigations, employment disputes, regulatory matters, customer complaints, property/lease disputes, and high-value commercial or corporate matters.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to provide practical, business-focused legal solutions and balance legal risk with operational and commercial objectives.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including vendor and supplier contracts, leases, partnerships, franchise arrangements, marketing agreements, and other operational contracts.
• Strong understanding of legal risk management and the regulatory environment affecting F&B businesses, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance for business and operational teams.
