Head of Workshop

This is a full-time role that combines strategic oversight of heavy equipment and workshop operations with hands-on leadership of a substantial fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing fleet operations exceeding 1,000 units, establishing standard operating procedures, and ensuring optimal equipment performance across the business. The role involves regular travel to operational sites and requires someone who can build systems and processes that scale.

• Oversee workshop operations and manage a fleet of more than 1,000 heavy equipment units
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures to drive efficiency and safety across all equipment operations
• Lead a team responsible for maintenance, servicing, and fleet performance across agribusiness or mining sites

Preferred Requirements

• Extensive experience managing large-scale heavy equipment fleets, ideally 1,000+ units
• Proven track record in workshop management and heavy equipment maintenance operations
• Strong capability in developing and implementing standard operating procedures and systems
• Experience in agribusiness or mining environments, with understanding of operational demands in these sectors
• Willingness to travel regularly to operational sites and manage field-based teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal qualification in mechanical engineering, fleet management, or a related discipline
• Certification in heavy equipment operation or maintenance management
• Demonstrated experience leading teams in a workshop or field operations environment
