GM Operations and Maintenance – Toll Roads

Our client operates toll road infrastructure and is seeking a General Manager of Operations and Maintenance to lead their technical and operational teams. This is a managerial role requiring someone with substantial experience in toll road operations, maintenance oversight, and team leadership. The successful candidate will:

• Bring both technical knowledge and the interpersonal skills to manage complex operations, resolve conflicts constructively, and keep teams focused under pressure.
• Lead operations and maintenance across toll road infrastructure, with responsibility for asset integrity and team performance
• Manage a team in a regulated, safety-critical environment where clear communication and calm decision-making are essential

Preferred Requirements

• Minimum five years of experience in toll road operations or maintenance, ideally in an operator or outsourced management role
• Proven leadership experience at a managerial level, with the ability to manage teams and stakeholders effectively
• Strong conflict management and communication skills; composed under pressure and able to make sound decisions in challenging situations
• Technical background in civil engineering or infrastructure maintenance, with hands-on knowledge of toll road asset monitoring and maintenance protocols
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related infrastructure discipline
• Formal qualification or demonstrated competence in operations management or infrastructure asset management
