Expansion Manager – Retail

Our client is a growing retail and consumer goods organization expanding its footprint in East Java. They are seeking an Expansion Manager who will be based there and lead feasibility studies for new store locations and oversee the end-to-end store opening process. If you have a track record in retail expansion, and the ability to navigate local legal requirements and logistics, you would be an ideal candidate.

• Lead feasibility studies and site assessments for new retail locations across East Java
• Own the complete store opening process, from legal compliance through to operational handover
• Manage store fixtures, fittings, and non-merchandise assets as part of your expansion remit

Preferred Requirements

• Proven experience conducting feasibility studies and managing store openings in retail or consumer goods
• Strong understanding of East Java's demographics, market dynamics, and retail landscape
• Knowledge of Indonesian legal requirements and compliance obligations for retail operations
• Experience working with small retail operators and property owners to secure suitable locations
• Must be based in East Java with a genuine commitment to the local market and willingness to remain in the city long-term

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in retail management, property development, or business expansion
• Familiarity with Indonesian commercial law and local regulatory frameworks
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, including legal and logistics functions
