Engineering Manager

Our client is a leading technology-driven financial platform in Indonesia, focused on building a highly engaging and data-driven investment ecosystem. They are currently looking for an Engineering Manager (Backend) to lead the development of scalable systems that support trading, portfolio management, and user engagement features.

• Lead and manage a team of backend engineers, driving execution, delivery, and technical excellence
• Oversee the design and scalability of backend systems, ensuring high availability and performance for user-facing applications
• Build and optimize systems capable of handling high traffic, real-time data processing, and large volumes of transactions
• Work closely with product, frontend, mobile, and data teams to deliver seamless user experiences
• Establish best practices in system design, code quality, testing, and deployment
• Coach and develop engineers, fostering a strong ownership mindset and continuous improvement culture

Key Requirements:

• 7–10+ years of experience in backend engineering, with 2–3+ years in a leadership role
• Strong experience in backend technologies, Golang
• Proven experience building scalable, distributed systems
• Familiarity with real-time systems, APIs, and data-intensive applications
• Experience working with high-traffic consumer platforms is a strong plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance technical and business needs
