Country Head (Life Insurance)

About the Role
Currently partnering with a life insurance business to appoint a Country Head. This is a foundational leadership role with full accountability for setting strategic direction, building organizational capabilities, and delivering sustainable commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall business strategy, including growth plans, market positioning, and long-term value creation
• Build, scale, and lead a high-performing distribution organization, with a strong focus on agency development as the core growth engine
• Recruit, develop, and retain a strong leadership team and sales force to support rapid business expansion
• Drive multi-channel distribution strategy, including agency, partnerships, and other scalable channels
• Ensure strong governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance while maintaining operational efficiency
• Establish and manage relationships with regulators, strategic partners, and key external stakeholders
• Oversee financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and capital management

Key Competencies

• Extensive leadership experience in the life insurance industry, with a strong emphasis on distribution and commercial growth
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling agency networks and leading large sales organizations
• Proven ability to develop and execute effective multi-channel distribution strategies
• Experience in Sharia-compliant insurance principles, products, and market practices
• Strong understanding of the Indonesian market, including regulatory environment and customer dynamics
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability and the ability to operate effectively in a high-growth environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging regulators, partners, and boards
