Reporting To: Business Development Director - Global Market
Location: Indonesia (with regional travel as required)
General Job Description:
Drive sustainable business growth in assigned international markets (Malaysia, Vietnam, and Philippines) by developing market entry strategy, acquiring and managing customers, and aim to build long-term commercial partnerships with scalable business growth. The Country Business Development Manager owns both market penetration and customer development, ensuring strong commercial execution from opportunity identification to revenue realization and growth. This role requires strategic thinking, commercial sharpness, and strong execution discipline to transform international business into a scalable growth engine.

Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
MBA is a plus but not mandatory
Other Requirements
Fluent in English (written and spoken) is mandatory
Additional Southeast Asian language capability is an advantage
Willing to travel frequently across assigned countries

Key Responsibilities:
- Market Development & Expansion
- Develop and execute market penetration strategies for Malaysia, Vietnam, and Philippines
- Identify high-potential industries, customers, distributors, and channel partners
- Conduct market mapping, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation
- Build strategic go-to-market plans for each assigned country
- Customer Acquisition & Key Account Management
- Drive new customer acquisition and strategic account development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
- Develop account growth plans for major customers
- Ensure customer retention and long-term partnership development
- Commercial Management
- Own sales pipeline, forecasting, and revenue delivery for assigned markets
- Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, terms, contracts, and deal closure
- Ensure healthy margin management and profitable business growth
- Monitor customer performance, buying patterns, and market demand shifts
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with supply chain, operations, finance, and product teams to ensure execution excellence
- Ensure timely order fulfillment, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution
- Align commercial plans with internal operational capabilities
- Reporting & Business Discipline
- Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and customer reporting
- Deliver monthly business review inputs: target vs actual, pipeline health, risks, and action plans
- Support data-driven decision-making and structured business management
Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in international sales, export, business development, or regional market management, with strong exposure to Southeast Asia markets, especially Malaysia, Vietnam, and Philippines
- Experience in B2B commercial roles with regional customer ownership
- Proven track record in new market development and customer acquisition
- Experience managing distributors, channel partners, or strategic accounts is highly preferred
