Assistant Manager – Brownfield Engineer

Our client is a major operator in the oil and gas sector, seeking an Assistant Manager - Brownfield Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time role for someone with solid experience in the upstream business who is ready to step into a leadership position. You'll be responsible for overseeing brownfield engineering projects, managing technical teams, and driving operational efficiency across existing assets. • Lead brownfield engineering initiatives across mature assets, balancing technical rigour with commercial outcomes
• Manage and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety excellence
• Drive cost optimisation and operational efficiency through strategic project delivery and asset management

Preferred Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with substantial background in upstream operations
• Proven expertise in brownfield engineering, including asset lifecycle management and production optimisation
• Strong track record managing technical teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and environmental obligations in oil and gas
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Professional engineering qualification (CPEng or equivalent) or active progress towards registration
• Relevant certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or oil and gas-specific training (e.g. well engineering, facilities management
