The Trade Marketing Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving brand visibility, product availability, and sales growth across all retail and distribution channels. This position serves as the essential bridge between marketing and sales, ensuring that brand plans are successfully translated into effective in-market execution. The manager is tasked with leading the planning and execution of route-to-market pricing, trade promotions, and in-store activities.

Responsibilities:

The role is structured around several key pillars of impact:
  • Strategy Translation (20%): Converting consumer and shopper insights into actionable channel strategies and defining in-store execution at the channel and key customer levels.
  • Trade Plan Execution (15%): Creating and implementing marketing initiatives aligned with the 4Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) to win at the point of purchase.
  • Category & Channel Growth (15%): Developing business plans by category and channel, including localized promotions to drive growth across wholesalers, distributors, and retailers.
  • Pricing & Promotion (10%): Setting competitive pricing guidelines and defining channel-specific promotional mechanics to achieve sales and margin targets.
Operational & Financial Management
  • Performance Monitoring (10%): Regularly analyzing market, channel, and competitor data to evaluate brand performance and track distribution and sales KPIs.
  • Customer Collaboration (10%): Partnering closely with key customers and sales teams on business planning and program development to strengthen partnerships
  • Budget & Profitability (10%): Managing trade marketing budgets and monitoring the P&L in partnership with the sales team to ensure profitability and effective investment.
  • In-Store Excellence (10%): Ensuring high-quality product presentation and communication at the point of sale to maximize shopper engagement.
Professional Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration; a Master’s degree is considered a plus.

  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in trade marketing with progressive management experience is required.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of trade marketing, shopper behavior, and in-store communications is essential.

  • Software Skills: Excellence in project management and data analysis is required, with proficiency in MS Office and a preference for Power BI.

  • Language & Communication: Candidates must be fluent in English (all 4 skills) and possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
