IT System Development Manager - Applications & Software Engineering

About the role and company:

We are supporting a leading multinational company in Indonesia to hire an IT System Development Manager who will lead application development, enterprise systems improvement, software delivery governance, and application architecture initiatives across the business.

This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in IT applications, system development, enterprise applications, SDLC, ERP/CRM/WMS integration, vendor management, and business-facing software delivery.

Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle across business application projects.
Define and improve the enterprise application roadmap and system architecture.
Manage application projects involving ERP, CRM, WMS, sales systems, manufacturing systems, and other business platforms.
Work closely with commercial, plant, supply chain, logistics, finance, and corporate users to translate business needs into technical requirements.
Manage software vendors, system integrators, SaaS providers, and external development teams.
Oversee BRD, FSD, development planning, SIT, UAT, release management, cutover, and post-go-live support.
Ensure proper application governance, change management, access control, documentation, and audit readiness.
Support application security controls, vulnerability assessment, secure API configuration, and system risk mitigation.
Drive continuous improvement of legacy applications, system performance, integration, data flow, and code quality.

Requirements:

Minimum 8-12 years of experience in IT applications, system development, software delivery, or enterprise applications.
Proven experience in application management, system development, software project delivery, or solution delivery leadership.
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, BRD, FSD, SIT, UAT, release management, and change management.
Experience with ERP, CRM, WMS, DMS, SFA, manufacturing systems, supply chain systems, or business applications.
Strong vendor management experience with software vendors, system integrators, SaaS providers, or outsourced developers.
Ability to work closely with business users and translate operational pain points into system requirements.
Good understanding of system integration, API, application architecture, data flow, and legacy modernization.
Exposure to ITGC, SOX / J-SOX, access control, audit, and application change controls would be an advantage.
Experience in pharma, FMCG, manufacturing, consumer healthcare, distribution, or multinational environments would be preferred.
Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
