IT Manager

Location: Batam, Indonesia

We are partnering with a leading multinational manufacturing company to identify an experienced Regional IT Manager to lead its IT function across Indonesia and Singapore.

This is a strategic role, suitable for an IT leader who can manage day-to-day operations, support manufacturing technology needs, lead enterprise systems initiatives, and work closely with regional and global IT stakeholders.

The IT Manager will be based in Batam and will oversee IT operations across multiple locations, including Batam, Jakarta, and Singapore. The role will lead an established IT team and act as the key bridge between local business operations and global IT leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for IT operations, SAP/ERP/MES support, cybersecurity compliance, business application support, infrastructure coordination, vendor management, and IT project execution. This role is well-suited for someone who has strong experience in manufacturing or industrial environments and is comfortable working with plant, production, engineering, finance, HR, purchasing, and regional/global IT stakeholders.

• Lead the IT function across Batam, Jakarta, and Singapore.
• Manage and develop an established IT team across infrastructure, support, applications, and security.
• Support SAP, ERP, MES, and business application initiatives.
• Contribute to SAP migration, system improvement, and enterprise application projects.
• Partner closely with production, engineering, finance, HR, purchasing, and operations teams.
• Ensure strong cybersecurity compliance in line with global IT standards.
• Coordinate with regional and global IT teams on infrastructure, cloud, security, and system initiatives.
• Support manufacturing IT needs, including shop-floor systems and IT/OT-related requirements.
• Manage vendors, IT projects, service delivery, and implementation outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for digital improvement, automation, data analytics, AI, and process optimization.
• Ensure IT services remain stable, secure, and aligned with business continuity requirements.

Requirements:

• Strong IT leadership experience, ideally in manufacturing, industrial, oil & gas, metal processing, automotive, or similar environments.
• Experience managing IT teams and supporting business-critical operations.
• Solid exposure to SAP, ERP, and/or MES systems.
• SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA migration experience would be highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, IT governance, and compliance.
• Experience working with regional or global IT teams.
• Good understanding of infrastructure, cloud, networking, and enterprise applications.
• Exposure to IT/OT, SCADA, PLC, DCS, or manufacturing automation would be an advantage.
• Ability to work closely with plant, production, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Independent, proactive, hands-on, and able to operate within a multinational environment.
• Willing to be based in Batam.
