HRBP Manager (Bekasi)
Our client is looking for a resilient and experienced HR Business Partner Manager
About the Role:
This is a rare opportunity to be the first HR hire in a growing, dynamic organization with a strong regional presence and international executive leadership. You will play a critical role in building, structuring, and driving the HR function, acting as a strategic partner to leadership while also managing operational HR tasks at the national level.
What You Will Do
- Lead and develop company policies, employee handbooks, and ensure compliance with Indonesian labor law and industrial relations regulations.
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to the business, especially in handling compliance matters, expat contract coordination, and industrial relations.
- Work closely with expatriate leadership to ensure smooth alignment and communication across regions.
- Liaise with external immigration and expat agents for work permit and contract handling.
- Hands-on management of payroll processes, including expatriate payroll and a solid understanding of PPh21 taxation.
- Partner with departments to consolidate recruitment, advise on best practices, and gradually centralize early-stage hiring and sourcing activities.
- Lead recruitment initiatives for management trainee programs at the regional level and ensure a strong candidate experience across all hiring stages.
- Drive HR operations and support local entities, ensuring consistency and efficiency in payroll and advisory functions.
- Draft, maintain, and safeguard complete employee files in compliance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Set up and maintain foundational HR infrastructure to support growth, including HRIS recommendations, performance management setup, and workforce planning.
- Collaborate closely with both HQ and regional teams on recruitment planning, alignment, and execution.
- Be the cultural steward: firm, energetic, and grounded, able to influence and drive results in a lean and developing organization.
- Proven experience as an HR Operations Manager or HRBP.
- Strong understanding of HR compliance, labor law, and industrial relations in Indonesia.
- Experience supporting expatriate contracts and liaising with external agencies is a must.
- Experience managing payroll (local and expatriate) with strong knowledge of PPh21.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required; the candidate must be comfortable working with international stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, yet collaboratively, with a hands-on and structured approach.
- A high level of energy and decisiveness – this role requires someone firm, focused, and proactive, rather than passive or overly soft-spoken.
- Willingness to be based full-time in Bekasi.
- Comfortable building systems from scratch in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
