Head of Finance – Shared Services

About the Role
Our client is a leading local conglomerate group, operating a highly complex, multi-entity business with nationwide distribution. As the business continues to strengthen its internal operations and drive ongoing transformation initiatives, they are looking for a Head of Finance - Shared Service Center to lead the finance and accounting function across the group.
This role will oversee a sizeable finance and accounting team within a high-volume transactional environment and play a critical part in driving process improvements, strengthening financial controls, and supporting operational excellence across the organization. The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance leader who is comfortable working in a complex, fast-moving environment and leading long-established teams through change.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the shared service finance and accounting function across multiple business entities
• Manage end-to-end finance operations including accounting, reporting, financial controls, and operational finance activities
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and reporting processes
• Strengthen finance systems, SOPs, governance, and internal controls across the organization
• Drive finance transformation and process improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency
• Partner closely with operational stakeholders across distribution, logistics, warehouse, and commercial functions
• Lead, develop, and manage a large finance/accounting team within a complex organizational structure
• Work closely with external tax consultants to ensure compliance within a highly regulated industry
• Support management decision-making through financial insights and operational analysis
• Ensure finance operations are scalable to support continued business growth and complexity

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 12+ years of experience within Finance, Accounting, Shared Services, or Finance Operations leadership roles
• Proven experience managing large finance/accounting teams within complex multi-entity organizations
• Strong exposure to shared services, finance operations, and transformation/process improvement initiatives
• Background from large local conglomerates, FMCG, distribution, retail, automotive, or similarly operationally intensive businesses preferred
• Experience managing high transaction-volume environments is highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of finance operations, controls, reporting, and process governance
• Exposure to logistics, warehouse, operational finance, or distribution-heavy businesses is a plus
• Hands-on leadership style with strong stakeholder management and people management capabilities
• Adaptable, flexible, and capable of driving change within long-tenured organizations
