About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Country HR Manager, Indonesia, to act as a strategic HR Business Partner while overseeing end-to-end talent acquisition and HR operations. Reporting directly to the HR Director, APAC, with a dotted line to the Business Director, Indonesia, this role will serve as the key HR representative for the Indonesian business.
The position requires a hands-on HR generalist with strong exposure to recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and labor compliance, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.


Key Responsibilities
HR Business Partnering & Talent Acquisition
  • Act as HR Business Partner to the assigned business unit, providing end-to-end HR support aligned with business needs.
  • Lead recruitment and manpower planning activities, including sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing, and supporting senior managerial hiring.
  • Prepare and submit annual manpower plans as part of the operating plan, including ongoing headcount and cost monitoring.
Performance, Talent & Employee Relations
  • Drive performance management processes, ensuring timely communication, data compilation, analysis, follow-up actions, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).
  • Facilitate talent management and career discussions in partnership with line managers.
  • Manage employee and industrial relations matters, including disciplinary cases, misconduct investigations, and behavioral issues.
HR Governance & Engagement
  • Implement and interpret HR policies, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, including engagement surveys, recognition programs, and engagement activities led by regional teams.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring proper HR documentation and process compliance.
Administration & Other Responsibilities
  • Oversee HR and administrative matters as required for daily operations.
  • Participate in company committees such as Sports & Recreation, Volunteer Programs, or Safety Committees, as appropriate.
  • Support ad-hoc HR projects as assigned by the line manager or regional HR team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years of HR & Administration experience as a strong HR generalist, preferably within a FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Experience in at least two HR specialty areas, such as Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, or Industrial Relations, is highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian labor laws and industrial relations practices.
  • High integrity with strong compliance orientation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
